BOM Management User Manual

Overview

BOM Management is the screen for defining the materials (inputs) and quantities required to make a product (output). This information serves as base data for production, inventory, and cost calculations.

Access

• Sidebar: Master Data Management → BOM Management

Before you begin

• Register the production item for the BOM and the material items to input first.
• Check the production item's standard unit and the input standard for each material.

Required information

• You must add at least one material before saving.
• BOM required amount per unit and input quantity cannot be empty for any added material.
• Select the production item in the first registration step. The production quantity can use the screen's default value.

Save and processing checks

• Confirm that each material's unit and quantity are consistent, and complete registration with no empty quantity fields.
• If unit conversion is selected, confirm that the displayed unit and actual input standard are the intended values.
• Confirm that the registration-completion message appears and the new BOM is reflected in the list.

Screen Layout

• List: View registered BOMs and their base items.
• BOM Registration: Complete three steps: Item Lookup → Material Details → Registration Complete.
• Details: View the materials and quantities linked to the selected item.

Registration

1. Click Register from the list.
2. In the Item Lookup step, click the lookup button and select the product or semi-finished product to link to the BOM.
3. Click Next to proceed to Material Details.
4. Register the materials used in production and the quantity required per one unit of the base item.
5. Continue through Registration Complete, then search for the base item in the list to confirm the result.

Editing

1. Select BOM from the list and enter details.
2. Click Edit.
3. Change an input material or its required quantity, then click Save.

Deletion

1. Select the BOM you want to delete from the list.
2. Click Delete and confirm.
3. Verify that the confirmation dialog shows the correct base item and BOM, then complete the deletion.

Before Making Changes

• A BOM's material composition and required quantities determine the material quantities needed in subsequent production plans. Before making changes, check whether the BOM is being used in any production plan in progress.
